Battery life clocks in at up to 10 hours per charge, and the entire tablet weighs 1.2lbs, measuring in with a thickness of 0.4-inches. There’s an optional 3G/GPS model, as well, which Lenovo says is an “and/or” option next to Wi-Fi. Connectivity is standard with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. Inside, users will find a dual-core Intel Atom processor, as well as 64GB of eMMC storage and the ability to expand that by up to 32GB with a microSD card slot, which is necessary considering how much of the internal storage space Windows 8 will use up. What we do know about the device, however, is that the case is said to be “quick-flip”, detachable, and featuring an integrated AccuType keyboard. There’s no mention of how much the keyboard cover will cost if sold separately. The Surface RT, at $500, doesn’t come with the detachable cover, for example, and there’s no mention of whether the Miix does, which would give it a leg up. At that price, the Miix offers double the storage space at 64GB rather than 32GB, but beyond that there isn’t mention about what hardware comes at that price point. While we’re talking about similarities with the Surface, both harbor a $500 starting price tag. The Lenovo Miix has a 10.1-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 1366 x 768, which is the same as the Surface RT’s resolution.
